What is Sadaqah
Any donation apart from Zakat is known as Sadaqaah.
The meaning of Sadaqaah is charity. Irrespective of the donation amount, if the money donated is for any good cause, it is known as Sadaqaah.
What is Sadaqah-e-Jariah?
Continuous charity is known as Sadaqaah-e-Jariah.
Sadaqaah-e-Jariah includes any donation which continues to bring benefit to animals, environment or people over a continuous period of time.
Some examples of this variant of charity are orphan care, education, tree plantation and safe water.
